Tao Yin yoga restores the body and mind in supple and subtle ways. Chi- gong is blended with yoga poses with an emphasis on breathing techniques to teach individuals how to change ones state of mind within one minute. Other benefits include lowering blood pressure, calming the mind, reducing stress, creating space between the joints, lengthening and strengthening the muscles and wringing out the organs for health and well being. Most postures will be performed primarily on the floor. This class is appropriate for all levels of experience.
Deanna McLaughlin is a Yoga Alliance ERYT 500 certified yoga teacher who has been teaching yoga and leading workshops for 17 years. My approach to yoga teaching is an integration of meditation in movement with guided visualizations to encourage an increased awareness to one’s own needs by honoring the sacred vessel of our body that contains one’s spirit.
