Chocolate, Candy and Cough Drops: West Laurel Hill's Confectionery Connections

Philadelphia has been instrumental in the development of the chocolate industry. You may have heard of and enjoyed products from companies such as Breyer, Hershey, Luden and Whitman, but did you know they all have connections to historic West Laurel Hill Cemetery? Learn more about these families at the 4th annual Chocolate, Candy & Cough Drops: West Laurel Hill's Confectionery Connections, which will be held on Sunday, February 24th at 2:00 PM. Join West Laurel Hill and guest speaker Ryan Berley, local confectionery connoisseur and proprietor of Shane Confectionery and The Franklin Fountain, for a fascinating look at Philadelphia's confectionery history. The event includes a sampling of tasty treats and a chance to win great prizes from Shane Confectionery, Bassett's Ice Cream and more.

Reservations required. For questions about the event, call 610-664-1591 or e-mail contactus@forever-care.com. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online
