Narberth Community Theatre Presents "Urinetown"

URINETOWN Opens at Narberth Community Theatre’s New Venue on February 15!

Beginning February 15, Narberth Community Theatre is excited to present the hilarious acclaimed musical, URINETOWN.  The show runs February 15, 16, 22, 23, March 1 and 2 at 8pm, with matinees on February 17 and 24 at 2pm.  General admission is $17 ($14 for seniors and children 18 and under).  Tickets can be purchased online by going to the NCT website: www.narberthcommunitytheatre.org.  This engaging production will be presented in all its splendor at NCT’s temporary new venue, Stage One Performing Arts Complex in Wallingford, PA.

Social injustice, corporate greed and political corruption are lampooned in this Tony Award winning musical satire about a drought-plagued town where water is so scarce that private toilets have become unthinkable. At the mercy of a single dominating corporation that maintains a monopoly on public amenities, the destitute citizens must pay towering taxes to carry out their most basic of needs. Out of the mass of the pitiable, a hero rises to lead his fellow citizens against the tyrannical regime. Drawing comedically from West Side Story and Les Misérables, among others, and filled with fun song and dance, URINETOWN pays witty homage to the great American musical theatre tradition.
