New Perspective on the End of Life

West Laurel Hill Cemetery welcomes a Philadelphia area author on Sunday, February 10th, 2013 at 1pm for a Round Table Discussion. Lauren Van Scoy, MD, author of "Last Wish: Stories to Inspire a Peaceful Passing," will be available to discuss sensitive end-of-life issues and the struggles families endure when they are faced with making extraordinarily difficult decisions. Members of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit of the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia together with Alicia Bloom, a licensed social worker with the nation's leading provider of hospice services, VITAS Innovative Hospice Care, will join Dr. Van Scoy in the discussion.

Copies of "Last Wish" will be sold on our website and in the office. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the panel, to meet the panelists after the discussion, and have their books signed. Light refreshments will be served.

The event will take place at the Conservatory on the grounds of West Laurel Hill Cemetery. It is free and open to the public. For more information or to let us know you'd like to attend, call 610-664-1591 or e-mail contactus@forever-care.com.
