Friends of the Cynwyd Heritage Trail: 5th Annual Martin Luther King’s Day of Service

The Friends of the Cynwyd Heritage Trail (FOCHT) have
announced the Fifth Annual Martin Luther King’s Day of Service for the Cynwyd
Heritage Trail on Monday, January 20th. The event is scheduled for 9 AM until
12 PM. Guidance, tools, gloves and snacks will be provided.

The MLK Day of Service volunteer day is a free event open to
the entire community. The purpose is to assist Lower Merion Township and the Friends in preparation for future re-establishment of native meadows and ornamental landscape horticulture installations. Leadership for the workday will be
provided by the Friends of the Cynwyd Heritage Trail. Volunteers should wear
comfortable shoes, work clothes and dress in layers. Although basic tools will be provided, it is

recommended that volunteers bring their own work gloves if they already own them and a re-usable water bottle to stay hydrated.

More information can be found on the Friends website www.cynwydtrail.org or by emailing info@cynwydtrail.org.
