Lower Merion Township Free Spring Cleanup Weekend

Free Spring Cleanup Weekends Scheduled

The Township's Refuse and Recycling Division is reminding residents to participate in upcoming 2012 Spring Cleanup Weekends, which will be held on the following dates from 8 AM - 5 PM:

  • Saturday, April 21st and Sunday, April 22nd
  • Saturday, May 5th and Sunday, May 6th

Residents who cannot participate in one of the Township's Free Cleanup Weekends can take refuse to the Public Works Complex inexpensively all year long. The fee is just four cents per pound; with a minimum charge of 80 cents. Hazardous waste, stones, dirt and concrete are NOT accepted. Other disposal fees include rimless tires, $1.50; tires with rims, $2.50; major appliances, $10.

Computers are also accepted for disposal at the Transfer Station free of charge!

Dispose of your unwanted refuse and recyclables — household appliances, textiles, plastic, glass, newsprint, and plain old trash — without charge!

Proof of residency is required (such as a driver's license).

Township crews will help residents unload.

Recyclable material must be separated from other household trash.

Take advantage of the Township's recycling drop-off center. Recycle mixed paper, textiles and commingled items.

Three non-profit organizations will have representatives on hand to collect unwanted computers, bicycles, furniture, clothing and more:
