My mom is the best because, as corny as it sounds, she is my best friend. I am an 18 year old girl who can honestly say she has taught me to grow into the woman I dreamed to be. She taught me how to be strong, caring, and independent. My mom disciplined me the right amount, without me ever saying to my friends "my mom is so strict". She was my doctor whenever I stayed home sick. She would always read me my favorite bedtime stories when I was little. She is always up for going shopping with me. She is such a silly person and can always put a smile on my face. Unlike some other mothers, she has managed to not embarrass me infront of boyfriends I have had. She never once complained about all the destinations I made her drive me to before I got a license. She is warm and welcoming to any friend I bring into our house. She has always made me feel good about myself as she praised me for any accomplishment I made. She has supported me my entire life. She gave up her job to raise me! She puts my brother and I ahead of herself at all times. My mom is beautiful on the inside and out. My mom is my closest friend because I feel comfortable talking to her about anything without ever being judged. I have realized how hard it is going to be leaving my best friend in August as I move out of the house to go off to college. Finally, I am so lucky to have such an affectionate mom, always knowing how important it is to tell her daughter how much she loves her.
