June Home Sales and Prices Rise

Two dozen houses left the market in Narberth and Bala Cynwyd.

In June, the Narberth-Lower Merion area saw home sales and prices increase, according to statistics from Prudential Fox Roach.

Ten houses sold in Narberth, up from eight in May and three in June 2011. The median sale price was $389,375, up about $70,000 from May and $90,000 from June 2011.

In Bala Cynwyd, 15 homeowners sold in June, up from eight in May and 12 in June 2011. The median sale price of $409,000 was up from $301,500 in June 2011 but down a bit from the $430,000 of this May.

Throughout Lower Merion, 100 houses sold in June, up from 88 in May and 90 in June 2011. The $524,500 median sale price was up significantly over the $414,500 of June 2011 but down slightly to the $537,500 of May.
