5 Things to Know This Week
A heads up for those who live or work in Narberth, Bala Cynwyd, Belmont Hills and Penn Valley.
- The Lower Merion Board of School Directors has called a special meeting for 8 p.m. Wednesday at the administration building. No agenda has been released for the meeting.
- The contract for about 1,300 Lower Merion Education Association employees expires Sunday, at the end of the school district's fiscal year. The union has said there have been sporadic talks with the district but no new contract yet; district officials have declined to comment while negotiations are ongoing.
- The Lower Merion Board of Commissioners will discuss its planned Capital Improvement Projects at 6 p.m. Wednesday, the only BOC session scheduled for the day. There will be no BOC meeting next week, when Independence Day falls on a Wednesday.
- 's Health & Welfare, Economic Development and Highway committees meet from 7-8:30 p.m. Monday, followed by a meeting of the Ad Hoc Bridge Committee at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
- Craig Bickhardt will play from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at in the latest weekly installment of the borough's summer concert series.
