The mild winter has allowed poison ivy to flourish in Narberth this summer more than usual, officials warned residents in an email alert Wednesday.
The borough government has hired landscapers to remove plants and also is planning a salt-water-and-vinegar spraying program in several areas:
- The cul-de-sac of Foxhall Lane
- Hampden Avenue near Price Avenue
- The parking lot between the borough building and Narberth Park
- The base paths and bleachers of the baseball field
Residents with questions about poison ivy or the eradication plans are asked to call the borough office at 610-664-2840.
Might be good to have a couple of good photos of poison ivy so everyone knows what it looks like…..
