911 too slow-changed without your permission

Lower Merion is currently plagued by home break-ins.
Two things play a factor in why your tax dollars are not stopping these intrusions.
1. The 911 system is too slow: apparently the township decided that it would be cheaper to outsource 911- as a result its much slower because when you call 911- you get a centralized agent, who then has to call lower merion police- Can you believe it?
2.  "Money for gold"- these stores, which the township is inexplicably allowing to sully our neighborhoods invite thefts of jewelry.

What do YOU thing?
