$1500 in Landscaping Equipment Stolen in Bala Cynwyd

Items taken with no sign of forced entry.

Sometime between Jan. 5 and Jan. 9 unknown actor(s) entered a fenced-in property on the 200 block of Rock Hill Road in Bala Cynwyd and removed landscaping equipment estimated at over $1500 in value from an enclosed storage shed, Lower Merion Township police report.

 

Among the items taken were a leaf blower and a self-propelled lawn mower.

The owner of the equipment stated that the area was secured with an eight-foot tall gate that was locked with a padlock – which was not damaged – and that they had no idea as to how the area had been accessed by those who removed the equipment.

While police stated there was an area were someone could have entered the premises on foot, the belief is that those responsible for the theft would still have needed a vehicle to move the equipment from the scene.
