Ambulance Destroyed in EMS Station Fire

The crew was on duty when the fire started early Friday morning.

An ambulance was destroyed and others are out of service following an early morning fire Friday at Narberth Ambulance Station 313.

The fire broke out around 2:30 a.m. in the EMS station on the 100 block of Sibley Avenue in Ardmore, ABC reported.

The crew was on duty when the fire started, ABC said, and they called 911.

The two-alarm fire caused damage to the station and the vehicles inside.

The station will be out of service until further notice, CBS said. Mutual aid arrangements have been made with nearby stations to provide ambulance service in the interim.

No injuries were reported, ABC said. The fire does not appear to have been suspicious in nature, CBS said, and an investigation is under way.
