Another Burglary on Maple Avenue, Police Report

Doors were forced open Saturday night at the Bala Cynwyd residence.

A home on Maple Avenue in Bala Cynwyd was burglarized Saturday night, at least the second house on that street to be hit in a month.

Lower Merion police reported Monday that residents of the 100 block left for a family function about 5 p.m. Saturday. They returned about 11:30 p.m. to find someone had broken in through locked French doors to the family room, police said.

Most of the house was ransacked, and though not all losses were immediately inventoried, the owners lost a Samsung flat-screen TV and a collection of rings and necklaces.
