Attempted Burglary Tuesday in Villanova

Police believe an alarm activation prevented further entry.

Someone tried to break into a home in the 500 block of Chandler Lane just off of Sproul Road (Rt. 320) in the Villanova section of Radnor Township on Tuesday, according to Radnor Police.

Police received a burglar alarm activation at 1:20 p.m. for the home. Upon arrival, officers discovered a front window open and a foot print on a sofa inside the window. It is believed the alarm activation scared the would-be burglar or burglars away. It does not appear that anything was taken from the house.

If you have information about this crime, contact the Radnor Police Department’s Investigations Unit at 610-688-0503.

From Radnor Police:

The headline says the attempted burglary was "Tuesday morning" but the article states the alarm went off at 1:20 PM? Makes sense.
