Bala Cynwyd CVS Robbed at Gunpoint: Cops

The armed robbery occurred early Monday morning, police said.

on City Avenue was robbed at gunpoint early Monday morning, Lower Merion Township police said. 

Two men entered the CVS store about 5:50 a.m. One man was armed with a gun and ordered employees to get on the ground and not move, police said. The two men then entered the manger’s office, where they took an undetermined amount of cash, police said.

Both men then left the manager’s office and exited the store, police said. No one was injured.

The first suspect, who was armed with a firearm, was described as a black man, between 5-foot-10 and 6-feet tall, with a medium build and light skin, wearing a green hooded sweatshirt, police said.

The other man, of unknown skin color, was described as skinny and slightly taller than the first suspect. His face was covered with black material and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants, police said.

A car was stopped on City Avenue a short time later, but occupants were determined not to have been involved in the robbery, police said.

The investigation is continuing, police said.
