Bala Cynwyd Home Burglarized

A rear window was broken to gain entry Saturday, police said.

A 46-inch flatscreen television worth $1,500 was stolen from a home on the unit block of West Lodges Lane in Bala Cynwyd on Saturday, Lower Merion police said at a Monday briefing.

The homeowner left and locked the house around 1 p.m. on Saturday and returned around 10:15 p.m. to find the front door wide open, and a rear window shattered, according to the police report. It appears the burglar shattered the window, then reached through to unlock the back door, which the homeowner also found ajar.

Stolen was a 46-inch flatscreen television, worth $1,500, along with a gold-face Seiko watch, hibiscus earrings worth $600, and an unknown amount of gold coins, according to the police report.
