Bala Cynwyd Police Calls: Pedestrian Accidents, DUI

179 neighborhood incidents were recorded in the week ending Jan. 20.

Lower Merion police responded to 179 incidents in the Bala Cynwyd neighborhood in the week ending Sunday, Jan. 20, according to LMPD statistics.

  • 29 alarm activations
  • 2 burglary calls the morning of Jan. 19, on the 100 block of East City Avenue and the 200 block of St. Asaph's Road
  • 1 DUI, about 4 a.m. Jan. 17 on the 100 block of East City Avenue
  • 1 fire, about 10:10 p.m. Jan. 20 on the 300 block of Bala Avenue
  • 3 accidental or faulty fire alarms
  • 65 traffic offenses
  • 2 car crashes with pedestrian injuries: about 2:05 p.m. Jan. 16 on the 100 block of West City Avenue and about 4:40 p.m. Jan. 17 on the first block of Conshohocken State Road
  • 4 car crashes with property damage
  • 1 citation for public drunkenness
  • 8 theft reports
