Bala Cynwyd Thefts: Copper, Wallet, Electronics

No arrests were made in any of the incidents, Lower Merion police said.

Lower Merion police on Monday reported three thefts from the past week in Bala Cynwyd:

  • A Blackberry cell phone, DVD player and GPS unit were stolen from a car on the unit block of Newfield Way sometime between 7:30 p.m. Aug. 6 and 7 a.m. Aug. 7, police said. The items were valued at $235, and no one was seen or heard, police said.
  • Copper wire was reported stolen from the 600 block of Righters Ferry Road, police said. The theft occurred sometime dating back to May or June, police said, and locks had been cut.
  • A wallet was stolen from a customer’s purse at on City Avenue about 2 p.m. Aug. 6, police said. The customer went to pay for something and realized her wallet was gone, police said.
