Batteries, Baby Formula Stolen from Penn Valley Acme, Police Say

An arrest was made in one of the cases.

Retail thieves struck at the Penn Valley twice in two days last week, Lower Merion police said Monday.

About 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 19, two men filled a shopping cart with more than $400 worth of baby formula, pushed it out of the store without paying and were not seen again, police said.

The next day, about 10:55 a.m. Friday, July 20, a 31-year-old Philadelphai man stole $404 in Duracell batteries from the grocery store, then ran east on Montgomery Avenue toward the pharmacy a quarter-mile away, police said.
