A home was burglarized Friday on Fairview Road in Penn Valley after a deadbolted rear door was knocked down, Lower Merion police said Monday.
The resident of the home on the 400 block of Fairview was gone from about 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday, police said. The damaged and open rear door to the kitchen was discovered at that time.
The burglar or burglars took silver candlesticks and candlestick caps, a silver spice box, a silver wine cup and a plastic bag of $50 in change. Repairing the door is expected to cost about $1,000.
