Charges: Ex-Cop Keyed Car of Narberth Neighbor

James Conway faces charges of criminal mischief and harassment, according to borough police.

James Conway, a Narberth resident and former officer in the Narberth Police Department, has been charged with harassment and criminal mischief against a neighbor, Sgt. Robert Yantorno told Patch.

A complaint was filed last week about an alleged incident Nov. 5, Yantorno said. Conway used a key to scratch the car of a neighbor with whom he had a disagreement, a witness told police.

It was unclear how the case might proceed; no hearing date for Conway was on file in county court records as of Tuesday evening.

Yantorno completed an investigation begun by Officers Sean McCabe and Kelly Lynn, both of whom filled vacancies on the borough force this year.

The vacancies were left after Conway resigned suddenly in September 2011 and Lt. Art Pavoni retired two months later.
