City Avenue Sunoco Robbed at Gunpoint

No one was injured Sunday, police said.

A Bala Cynwyd Sunoco was robbed at gunpoint about 4:30 a.m. Sunday, according to Lower Merion police.

Two men entered the and told cashiers to leave the cash drawer open, police said Monday. One of the men was armed with a semi-automatic handgun, and the two stole cash and cigarettes, police said.

One suspect was described as a black man with a slim build, about 5-foot-9, between 30 and 40 years old, wearing sneakers and cargo pants with a baseball cap, police said. The other suspect was described as a black man with a slim build, between 5-foot-10 and 5-foot-11 wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.

No one was injured in the robbery, police said.

No further information or photos of the suspects were available as of Monday afternoon.
