Lower Merion police responded to 244 calls throughout Narberth, Bala Cynwyd, Belmont Hills and Penn Valley the week ending Sunday, Sept. 30, up from 198 calls the week before, department records show.

The police calls (which do not necessarily indicate arrests were made or charges filed) include:
- 7 animal incidents
- 1 non-residential burglary, about 2:15 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, on the 800 block of North Woodbine Avenue in Penn Valley
- 2 DUIs
- 2 fires: one Sept. 24 on the 500 block of Essex Avenue in Narberth, and one Sept. 27 on the 300 block of Trevor Lane in Bala Cynwyd
- 1 fraud case
- 13 car crashes with property damage
- 11 thefts, including 4 retail thefts and 3 bicycle thefts
