Daytime Car Theft From Auto Center, Police Say
A 2008 Honda Civic was stolen, according to Lower Merion police.
A 2008 Honda Civic was stolen from the parking lot of STS Tire in Bala Cynwyd during work hours on Feb. 20, police said at a Monday briefing.
The vehicle’s owner had dropped the car off at STS Tire & Auto Center (121 City Line Ave, Bala Cynwyd) around 9:30 a.m., at which point a store employee took the vehicle’s keys and wrote the invoice, leaving the keys on the service counter, according to the police report.
The manager told police that it had been a busy day at the auto center. When the manager went to look for the keys and paperwork for the Civic around 2:40 p.m., the keys were missing along with the car, police said.

The incident is under investigation, police said.
