DUI Checkpoints Coming This Weekend

Lower Merion Police will establish checkpoints and conduct roving patrols throughout the township.

Lower Merion Police will be conducting DUI checkpoints and roving patrols through the township this weekend, the department announced earlier this week.

According to LMPD Sergeant Gregory Conlon, the operation will be conducted between Friday, June 21 and Sunday, June 23.

The effort is a facet of a national impaired driving crackdown that entails, according to the township, highly visible enforcement activities and uses the tagline, “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over.” It is being funded by a PennDOT grant.

The township last managed similar checkpoints and patrols from May 17 to May 19.
