The drivers were from Philadelphia and Gladwyne, Lower Merion police said.

Lower Merion police on Monday reported two arrests for driving under the influence in the past week, in Bala Cynwyd and Penn Valley.

About 9 p.m. Sept. 25, police observed a driver headed south on Belmont Avenue without headlights on. He was pulled over at Righters Ferry Road and cited for DUI after a field-sobriety test, police said. The 33-year-old Philadelphia man's blood-alcohol content was 0.12, police said.

Then at 2:40 a.m. Sunday, a 22-year-old Gladwyne man was found in his vehicle in front of the public works complex on the 1300 block of Woodbine Avenue in Penn Valley, police said. The car was running and the lights were off, and officers responding to a security alarm investigated. The man was charged with DUI and had a BAC of 0.12, police said.
