Foster Kid with an Eye on Law Enforcement Visits LMPD

Patrick, 13, wants to be a cop.

Wednesday's Child is a weekly NBC10 spot hosted by Vai Sikahema that features a Philadelphia region foster child in the hope of finding him or her a loving family in the Tri-state area.

The subject of last week's feature, Patrick, wants to be a police officer, so Vai arranged to get him a tour at one of the finest outfits in the area: the Lower Merion Police Department.

During his visit, Patrick, 13, got a chance to meet a few of the officers and even got some hands-on experience with the specialized equipment the department uses; including a bullet-proof vest and a lie detector machine.

While Patrick was hooked up to the lie detector, the department couldn't resist putting him on the spot:

"Do you like school?," Patrick was asked, before replying, without missing a beat, that he does.
