A 69-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint Monday night in the vestibule of a Bala Avenue office building, according to Lower Merion officials.
About 7:40 p.m., township spokesman Tom Walsh said, police received a report that a man was struggling with an armed man at 29 Bala Ave.
Officers arrived to find the victim, who reported he was leaving his office when an armed masked man in a hooded sweatshirt confronted him.
"Give it up," the robber said, according to the victim, and after a struggle of several minutes, the victim surrendered cash, Walsh said. The robber fled the building.
The victim was not injured. It was not known how much cash was stolen.
