Jewelry taken in Bala Cynwyd Burglary

Actor(s) pried window open to gain entry into home.

Lower Merion Twp. police are investigating a burglary in Bala Cynwyd that was reported on Dec. 29 at the 100 block of Ebenezer Ave.

 

The homeowner stated that they left their home on Friday Dec. 27 and returned on the afternoon of Dec. 29 to discover that the front door was slightly ajar.  Upon entering the home the homeowner found that a basement window had been forced open and that the majority of the jewelry in the home had been removed from multiple bedrooms.

Police stated that pry marks and a split lock were evident on the window that the actor(s) used to gain entry in to the home.

The Lower Merion Twp. Police Dept. reminds residents that they should always call 911 if they notice anything suspicious upon returning to their homes, and that it is highly advisable to remain outside of the home until police arrive and search the home.
