Bank Robbed in City Ave. Acme

Lower Merion police and the FBI are investigating.

The Lower Merion Police Department and the FBI are seeking the public's assistance to identify a black man who robbed a Citizens Bank branch inside an ACME Market at 121 East City Line Avenue in Bala Cynwyd on Saturday.

According to the FBI, at about 10:47 a.m. Saturday, the man approached the bank and handed a note to the teller, demanding money.

After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the man fled the area in a dark-colored SUV, according to the FBI's Philadelphia Division Public Affairs Office.

The man is described as a black man in his late 20's, about 6 foot 2 inches tall, with a goatee or possibly a beard. He wore a navy winter coat with furry trim on the hood, blue jeans, grayish baseball cap with unknown writing, dark gloves, and dark shoes.

The man is considered armed and dangerous.

There may be a reward for information leading to this subject's capture.
