Lower Merion Daytime Burglaries Prompt Warning from Police

At least three incidents happened in the same recent day.

Lower Merion police on Thursday renewed their call for residents to report suspicious activity, having responded to several burglaries in the same neighborhood on one recent day.

On Thursday, Sept. 13, burglars forced open doors at three Bala Cynwyd homes during the day and attempted burglary at a fourth, police announced.

Other burglaries last week, according to police records, happened at the following times and locations:

  • 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10 in Penn Wynne (200 block of Glen Rock Road)
  • 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11 in Bala Cynwyd (first block of Maple Avenue)
  • 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 14 in Haverford (400 block of Berkley Road)
  • 10:55 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14 in Merion Station (300 block of Meetinghouse Lane)
