Penn Valley Man Robbed at Knifepoint

The victim was walking home after getting cash at Wawa.

A Penn Valley resident walking home from Wawa was robbed Saturday afternoon by a man with a knife, Lower Merion police said Monday.

The man had withdrawn an undisclosed amount of money from the 's ATM and had walked about three-quarters of a mile to Margo Lane and Hagys Ford Road, next to , when the man with a knife approached him from behind about 3:40 p.m.

The victim handed over cash, and the robber—described by the victim as a masked white man in his 20s—ran south on Hagys Ford Road, back the way both men had come.

The victim was uninjured. It was unclear whether the robber had seen the victim use the ATM.
