OMG PD: SEPTA Bus as (Failed) Getaway Car

OMG PD takes a look at some of the more unusual, amazing or bizarre police reports from the Greater Philadelphia area.

Some people might disagree, but I have generally had good experiences with SEPTA services, especially its bus routes.

Then again, I wouldn’t want to make use of one of their buses as my getaway car.

According to a report on , a Philadelphia man was allegedly seen leaving a Macy’s store without paying for several bed comforters. When confronted, the man reportedly dropped the items and hopped a nearby SEPTA bus to leave the scene.

Police stopped the bus and removed the man.

According to a report from Roxborough Patch, two live ducks were reported stolen from a Philadelphia home on April 25.

Maybe They Really Needed to Clean Their Lawn: In a report on Chestnut Hill Patch, police responded to a report of theft from the Chestnut Hill Business Association on May 3. Missing items include a weed whacker, leaf blower and a box of trash bags.
