Penn Valley Police Calls: Fires, Crashes and DUI

66 neighborhood incidents were recorded in the week ending Jan. 27.

Lower Merion police responded to 66 incidents in the Penn Valley neighborhood in the week ending Sunday, Jan. 27, according to LMPD statistics.

A list of those incidents is attached to this article, sorted by type. Incident descriptions do not necessarily indicate arrests or convictions.

  • 17 alarm activations
  • 1 DUI, about 1:55 a.m. Jan. 21 at Hagys Ford Road and Margo Lane
  • 3 faulty or accidental fire alarms
  • 3 fires on the 1600 block of Oakwood Drive, one about 8:45 p.m. Jan. 24 in a heater or chimney and two about 4:35 p.m. Jan. 26 in appliances
  • 1 citation for driving with a suspended license about 9:30 a.m. Jan. 26 on the 600 block of Conshohocken State Road
  • 5 traffic offenses
  • 5 car crashes with property damage
  • 7 calls for suspicious circumstances
