Police Activity: Seven Thefts Last Week

The incidents included burglary and retail theft.

 police responded to 209 calls last week throughout Narberth, Bala Cynwyd, Belmont Hills and Penn Valley, department records show.

In the past week, the police calls (which do not necessarily indicate arrests were made or charges filed) include:

  • 1 burglary, on the 300 block of Trevor Lane in Bala Cynwyd
  • 1 incident of counterfeiting, on the 100 block of East City Avenue
  • 1 incident of "demonstrations" (on the same block)
  • 2 domestic disputes in Bala Cynwyd and 2 in Penn Valley
  • 1 DUI, on Montgomery Avenue in Narberth, about 3 a.m. March 24
  • 2 fires: one in Penn Valley the evening of March 19, the other in Bala Cynwyd the afternoon of March 23
  • 2 fraud cases in Bala Cynwyd and 2 in Narberth
  • 13 motor vehicle accidents that caused property damage
  • 3 cases of public drunkenness
  • 6 thefts: two retail thefts on City Avenue, two from residential buildings, an attempted theft from a car and a theft of bicycles in Narberth
