Police Blotter: Thieves Hit Gym, Apartment

The following information has been supplied by the Lower Merion Police Department. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

On Monday afternoon,  reported to news media the following incidents from the past week:

  • Theft: An Apple iPhone, GPS and jewelry were reported stolen from the at 25 E. City Ave. between 1:35 and 2 p.m. Thursday, police said. The victim placed items in a locker before working out and returned to find the locker open and everything missing, including car keys, which were used to go through the victim’s car.
  • Burglary: A laptop and safe were reported missing from at 20 Conshohocken State Road Thursday. It is unknown when the items went missing or where access was gained, police said. The burglary occurred sometime after Oct. 25, police said.
  • Public drunkenness: Police found a man sleeping in his car in the parking lot about 5 a.m. Monday. The man, Jason Miller, 32, of the 200 block of Baldwin Street in Philadelphia, was arrested and charged with public drunkenness, police said.
