Police Blotter: Couple Arrested on Drug Charges in Bala Cynwyd

On Monday afternoon,  reported to news media the following incidents from the past week:

Drug possession, DUI. A couple from Annville, PA, was arrested and charged with possession of drugs (heroin), drug paraphernalia and DUI shortly after midnight on Oct. 10 at the Fairmount Apartments in Bala Cynwyd, police said.

Security from the apartments noticed the couple, Fred Miller, 29, and Janine Miller, 30, in their pickup truck and called police. The two are suspected of buying heroin from somewhere in Philadelphia and stopping to inject drugs at the apartment complex, police said.

Janine Miller had an outstanding warrant for her arrest in Lebanon County. The couple were taken to Lankenau Hospital before being medically cleared for incarceration.

Public drunkenness. Responding to a call about an unresponsive man on the lawn at the Bala Cynwyd Shopping Center on Oct. 5, police and paramedics arrived to find Morris Dublin, 52, of the 3900 block of Conshohocken Avenue in Philadelphia, police said.

Dublin was taken by ambulance to Lankenau Hospital where he was cited, police said.
