Police Blotter: DUI in Bala Cynwyd

Officers also made three arrests for underage drinking and public drunkenness.

On Monday afternoon, Lower Merion police reported to news media the following Bala Cynwyd incidents from the past week:

  • DUI: At 2:16 a.m. Sept. 8, police stopped a car at Conshohocken State Road and City Avenue after observing the car make an illegal right turn on red. The driver, a 32-year-old man from Audubon, PA, failed field sobriety tests and blew a 0.19 on a preliminary breath test. The man was charged with DUI, police said.
  • Underage drinking, public drunkenness: Two 18-year-old men, one from Hershey, PA, and another from Watawan, NJ, were issued citations for underage drinking and public drunkenness at 12:35 a.m. Sept. 9 at . Both men are students at St. Joseph’s University, police said.
  • Underage drinking, public drunkenness: A 20-year-old man from Long Beach, NY, was arrested at 7:02 a.m. Sept. 9 at the City Avenue , police said. Police observed a man sitting in the front driver’s seat of a vehicle, then exited the vehicle and stumbled and acted confused, police said. The man was issued citations for public drunkenness, underage drinking and carrying fake identification.
