Two houses on the unit block of Levering Mill Road in Bala Cynwyd were burglarized this past weekend, police said—perhaps one right after the other. Jewelry of an undetermined amount and value was taken from the home.  The second crime happened to a neighbor who reported a window forced open, with cash and jewelry taken between Nov. 25th at 1:30 p.m. and Nov. 26th at 11 a.m. There were no witnesses to either incident.
  • Public drunkenness: A Penn Valley man celebrating his 21st birthday made it only five hours into legality before being arrested, police said. Daniel Levin, of the 200 block of Tower Lane in Penn Valley, was observed at about 5 a.m. wandering in the area of Hollow and Conshohocken State roads. Police said he was incoherent, with a strong smell of alcohol. Levin was taken to his home by police and released into the custody of his parents.
  • Theft: Bicycles valued at about $600 were taken from a home on the 100 block of Bentley Avenue in Bala Cynwyd sometime between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Nov. 27th, police said. The property’s garage door, which was closed when occupants left earlier in the day, was open upon returning home. It is not known if the garage door was locked.
