Police Blotter: Trunk Lid, Handbags, Downspouts, Keychain Stolen in Bala Cynwyd Area

The following information has been supplied by the Lower Merion Police Department. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

Theft: Police said $800 in copper downspouts were reported stolen June 15 from a residence on the 600 block of Righters Mill Road in Penn Valley. The theft apparently occurred sometime in the past two weeks. The same home had copper gutters stolen in April, and the residents were in the process of replacing them, police said.

Theft: Police said a rear trunk lid, valued at $2,500, was stolen from a car at the BMW of the Main Line overnight between June 17 and June 18. Someone broke into the car through a window and popped the trunk before stealing it.

Theft: Police said a keychain was stolen from a car parked on the 500 block of Righters Ferry Road in Bala Cynwyd overnight between June 17 and June 18. Police said someone smashed the front passenger’s side window and went through the car before stealing the keychain.

Retail theft: A man stole five Michael Kors bags from the Lord & Taylor in Bala Cynwyd at 6:17 p.m. June 19. Police said a man entered the store, grabbed two arms full of purses and ran out of the store through the ACME doors. The investigation is continuing, police said.
