Police: Man Cited for Public Drunkenness had Muddy Clothes, Unzipped Jeans

22 year-old St. Davids man was stumbling along Lancaster Ave.

A 22 year-old St. Davids man was cited for public drunkenness after Lower Merion Twp. police observed him stumbling along Lancaster Avenue in Rosemont just after 2:30 a.m. on Jan. 10.

 

Lower Merion Township Police stopped Jon Meyers, of the 100 block of Hilare Rd., St. Davids, after he was observed walking with difficulty. While speaking to Meyers police stated that he had great difficulty speaking, had a strong odor of alcohol on his person and wore muddy clothing with his jeans unzipped.  He also had trouble standing and nearly fell to the ground, police said.

Meyers submitted to a breath test and his BAC was measured at 0.259 % BAC.

Deeming Meyers a danger to himself and/or others, police held him overnight at the headquarters. Meyers was released and cited for public drunkenness.
