Three men face charges of harassment, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct after a fight with a taxi driver who insisted the cab’s female passenger clean up her vomit, according to Lower Merion police.
On Sept. 20 at 12:30 a.m., police responded to a report of an assault in progress at the Wawa on Conshohocken State Road in Bala Cynwyd, according to the police report. Upon arriving, police determined that four passengers—two 22-year-olds and two 21-year-olds—had been arguing with the driver of a taxi cab, and were inebriated. police said.
The taxi driver told police that a 21-year-old female passenger had thrown up in the cab, and that he had told the passengers they needed to clean up the vomit. After being told to clean up the vomit, the three male passengers allegedly assaulted the cab driver, police said.
The three male passengers face charges of harassment, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct, according to police; the female passenger only faces a public intoxication charge.
