Ardmore 'Oktoberfest' on Building and Planning Committee's Agenda

The event would be held in September on Cricket Avenue.

Tonight at 6:30 p.m., chair Elizabeth Rogan and the Lower Merion Township Building and Planning Committee will hold their regular monthly meeting. The meeting will be held in the second floor boardroom of the township's 75 E. Lancaster Avenue administration building.

On tonight's agenda, the committee will consider for recommendation to the board a Conditional Use request for a property on 802 W. Montgomery Avenue in Bryn Mawr, will hear a proposal for a Preliminary Open Space Preservation Subdivision Plan for the 9.3 acres of land that make up 1345 Conshohocken State Road and 1325 Club House Road in Gladwyne, and consider for recommendation a Tentative Sketh Plan by BMW of the Main Line.

The board will also mull a request from the Ardmore Initiative to suspend alcohol sale and consumption regulations for a one day Oktoberfest celebration on Cricket Avenue in September. The event would be sponsored by McCloskey’s, Gillane’s Tavern, John Henry’s Pub, and others.
