Lower Merion Public Access TV Contract Extended For Two Years
The broadcast corporation must meet three conditions.
The Lower Merion Board of Commissioners on Wednesday night approved the continued operation of the township’s Public Access Channel by the Lower Merion and Narberth Public Access Television Corporation (PATV) for a two-year period, contingent upon three conditions.
The continued operation of PATV was approved as part of the board’s Consent Calendar vote, which includes all agenda items in which a commissioner has not requested a separate discussion of the agenda item.
The three conditions which PATV must meet are:

- expanded fundraising
- growing the PATV’s number of working volunteers
- locating the organization’s base of operations to a location conducive to public participation
The PATV’s Board of Directors must provide a business plan for meeting these conditions, no later than June 30, 2012.
