What's Closed on Veterans Day
The holiday was founded to observe the anniversary of the World War I armistice.
Though Veterans Day is Sunday, Nov. 11 this year, all levels of government in Lower Merion and Narberth observe it on Monday, Nov. 12.
Here are some of the local facilities and services that will be closed on Monday for the holiday:
- Banks
- All U.S. Post Offices
- PennDOT Photo License Centers
- Narberth borough offices (though the Borough Council meeting is still on for 8 p.m. Monday)
- All Montgomery County courts and county offices
- All Commonwealth of Pennsylvania courts and state offices
- All federal courts and offices
