Aces Basketball: Boys Beat Penncrest; Girls Defeated In District Opener
Lower Merion High School's boys and girls basketball teams played district openers this weekend.
It was a big weekend for Lower Merion High School basketball, with both the boys and girls teams playing in the opening round of districts.
The boy Aces crushed Penncrest High School in a 57-32 victory Friday night in the PIAA Class AAAA District One opener. Sadly, the girl Aces didn't enjoy the same success, falling to Boyertown after a close 27-31 game, despite enjoying a 23-18 lead at the start of the fourth quarter.

Tuesday night, the boy Aces play Plymouth Whitemarsh in Round 2 of the district playoffs at 7 p.m. at Lower Merion High School's Bryant gymnasium.
