KNITTING AND CROCHETING AT NEW HORIZONS

New Horizons Senior Center in Narberth is offering a class in knitting and/or crocheting to all adults 55+, from beginners to experienced connoisseurs, every other Wednesday starting on September 12, from 10:30 AM to 12 Noon.  Come and learn those techniques you’ve seen others use, but could never master yourself, or get help for that tricky pattern that just won’t work right no matter what you do.  The class will be small-group instruction, led by experienced knitter Christine Jackson, a long-time volunteer at New Horizons, who was taught to knit and crochet by her grandmother when she was a small child, and has never stopped.

Along with her skills as a knitter and crocheter, Christine also runs a monthly Book Club at New Horizons, harking back to her days as a longtime librarian at Narberth Library before her retirement. Currently, the club is reading The Lady and the Unicorn, by Tracy Chevalier, and will be meeting at New Horizons on Thursday, September 27, at 10:00 AM, to discuss it.

New Horizons Senior Center, located at 206 Price Avenue in Narberth, boasts a number of intellectual and fun programs, including various Crafts Shops, Creative Writing, and Current Events Discussions.
