Longtime Preschool Director To Retire in June

Ann Altus, of Temple Beth Hillel-Beth El, will retire in June after 45 years of teaching.

After 45 years of service to the Temple Beth Hillel-Beth El community, Ann Altus will retire this coming June. Altus started off as a teacher but worked her way up to becoming the director of Temple Beth Hillel-Beth El's preschool for the last 39 years.

Ken Krivitzky, Temple Beth Hillel—Beth El's executive director shared the following about Altus' service and retirement:

“As someone entering the community last summer, as a colleague, and as a new parent to the school, I have been amazed at the community that Ann Altus has fostered. The teachers are incredible and are passionate about their jobs. The students are learning core values of respect, honesty and community. I am so impressed with what Ann has accomplished this year and every year. It is a true testament to her leadership that many parents that had her as a teacher or went to the school under her choose to send their children to the Temple Beth Hillel – Beth El Early Childhood Center,” said Krivitzky.
