Lower Merion Schools Set to Add 32 Employees, Subtract 13 Monday Night

Hires, rehires, resignations and retirements are on the agenda.

Sixteen new hires, 16 rehires, 11 resignations and two retirements await the approval of the Lower Merion Board of School Directors at Monday night's meeting.

The meeting agenda attached to this article lists the names and assignments of each incoming and outgoing employee. Organized school by school, the prospective changes are as follows:

  • Districtwide staff: 2 rehires, 1 retirement, 1 resignation
  • : 5 new hires
  • : 4 new hires, 4 rehires, 1 retirement, 5 resignations
  • : 2 rehires, 1 resignation
  • : 1 new hire, 1 resignation
  • : 2 new hires, 1 rehire
  • : 2 new hires, 1 rehire
  • : 3 rehires, 3 resignations
  • : 2 new hires, 2 rehires
  • : 1 rehire
  • : no changes

Other staff changes include employees transferring between schools and changing job descriptions.

The 8 p.m. session at is the final regular meeting before students begin classes Tuesday, Sept. 6. The district's calendar shows staff will be in Tuesday through Thursday next week before a four-day weekend for Labor Day.
